One person has been killed after a violent crash on Highway 55 about one mile north of Banks. Police on scene tell Today's 6 a Chevy Malibu was driving south on the highway when a north-bound truck towing a camper and boat crossed the center line and smashed into the Chevy.

The driver of that car was killed on impact. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital. The severity of his injuries is unknown.
