Ketchum officials recommend city annex land
KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) -- The Ketchum Planning and Zoning Commission is recommending that 138 acres be annexed into the city as part of a plan by Sun Valley Co. to build a huge hotel at the base of the ski area at Bald Mountain.
The next step is for the commission to finalize its findings on the annexation request before it goes to the Ketchum City Council.
Becky Zimmerman, president of Denver-based Design Workshop, represented Sun Valley Co.
Zimmerman says construction at the River Run site could begin in as little as five years if the project is approved.
